Huanghai Shipbuilding signs contract for 10 10000 ton new energy bulk carriers
On November 6th, Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Jiada New Energy Ship (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. for the construction of 100000 ton new energy bulk carriers.
The ship has a total length of 109.80m, a width of 26.80m, a depth of 7.20m, a design draft of 4.20m, a structural draft of 4.80m, a carrying capacity of approximately 9050 tons, and a speed of 11.5 knots. As an electric/oil hybrid driven new energy bulk carrier, the ship is equipped with 2 medium speed engines, 2 axle motors (with PTO and PTH functions), 2 hybrid gearboxes, 8 containerized lithium batteries, and 2 diesel generator sets. The pure fuel operating range is 4000 nautical miles, and the pure electric operating range is about 180 nautical miles.
